BIOGRAPHY

COLOMBIAN THRASH METAL

A decade and a half ago, around 2006, Perpetual Warfare was born in Bogotá- Colombia as a four-piece metal band with the concept that War is our favorite self-destruction pattern as humanity. Influenced by pure metal sounds such as Exodus, Slayer, Whiplash, Cranium and more, Perpetual Warfare was conceived in a country full of violence, corruption, narcotraffic and dehumanization; when two very young metalheads, Camilo (Vocals, Guitar) and Wilson (Bass) Muñoz felt the need to embody this primal aggression through their music; thus, creating Perpetual Warfare. Later in 2014, Esteban Díaz (Ex-Luthor, Drunk Dog) would replace Johan Cardona on the Drums completing this striking line up.

Perpetual Warfare is one of the most relevant bands in the Thrash Metal scene in the southern hemisphere, headlining scenarios along the Colombian Republic, Their 2019 tour throughout North America and México included the first appearance of the band on 70.000 Tons of Metal, Knotfest Mexico and Knotfest Colombia, in addition to completing a sold out 35 dates tour in South America, the band has alternated with acts such as Slayer, Accept, Behemoth, WASP, Sepultura, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more. Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index, Scour) who was manager of the band in 2018 said, “These crazy thrashers have taken themselves a long way on their own merit!”
